Most of you will remember back in February we were set to announce that we were expecting a baby.

Unfortunately, the ultrasound scan showed that the baby had some serious problems and we were referred to UCLH for some expert advice and tests.

Later that week our baby boy, who we named William, was diagnosed with Edwards Syndrome. We faced the terrible news that he was unlikely to survive the pregnancy but if he reached full term he would only live a few hours or days before leaving us.

It was a difficult time for us all and we had to make some terrible choices.

Throughout that period, one charity, ARC, offered us support and information - during and after our tests and in the weeks and months after William was gone. They put us in touch with other parents who had similar experiences and were always on the end of the phone, even in our darkest hours.

William would have been born on or around August 15th. It will no doubt be a relfective and sad time.

We would like something positive to come from being with William for that short time and are asking you, our friends and family to support ARC.

In February, we donated £100 to the ARC charity to thank them for their help and to ensure they can continue to support other parents who find themselves in a similar situation - 35,000 times a year a couple will be told that there is a risk that their unborn baby may have a serious abnormality.

If William had been born in August, we know you would have sent new baby cards - you were all so kind when Stanley was born.

This time, we'd like you to make a donation, just of the cost of a new baby card, to the ARC charity to help them, help the next parents who get dreadful news about their unborn baby.

Hopefully together we can match the £100 we donated back in February.

Thanks so much in advance

Jason and Zoe
