About our charity : Cardiac Risk in the Young Cardiac Risk in the Young
Hundreds of young people die unexpectedly of heart defects every year. CRY works to raise awareness of Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and campaigns for proactive screening of young people. It offers help and support to those who have suffered a loss, provides medical information, carries out Mobile Cardiac Screening and ECG Testing Programmes within local communities and contributes to medical research. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On October 5th 2008, I will be taking part in the Great  North Run in order to raise funds for C-R-Y - Cardiac Risk in the Young

We have become aware of this charity since the tragic death of my sister Sarah Simpson, aged 20, from an undiagnosed heart condition in April last year.

The race is a 13 mile trip and will be a major personal challenge, which I am determined to complete in a respectable time (to be decided at a later date!)
