Shirl the whirl as she is known by her friends graduated from the British School of Osteopathy (UCO) on the 11th July 1960.

Shirley Surrey attended the British School of Osteopathy with just six in her year. Today the school graduates around 100 students per year. She began her career at the BSO working two days per week in the student clinic whilst building her private practice in Mill Way, Mill Hill. Later in life she met my dear Uncle Harold and became Mrs Moore.

Her chosen charity is the UCO (formerly the BSO). Donations will be put towards running the student clinic. Specifically it will go towards the community clinics that rely solely on donations to keep running.  The community clinics during my time as a student were some of the most memorable and rewarding. Working with the elderly, homeless and children's clinics. Allowing students vital access to patients from all walks of life.

We felt that this was an area that Shirley would have loved to support. Anyone who met my dear Auntie would have known how passionate she was about Osteopathy and its place in the world of medicine. So passionate I followed in her footsteps.

We therefore set up this JustGiving page in her honour and to celebrate her life. By donating to the UCO (formerly BSO) we can ensure that the community clinics continue. Students can carry on the good work she did for so many years.
