Story
Thanks for visiting the Resilient Scots fundraising page. Scottish Resilience yet again entered a team into the 4th July Corrieyairack Challenge - 18 miles of a run through the Highlands, ascending to 2700ft, followed by 26 miles on a bike.
Charlie ran the race in four hours 35 minutes, despite cramping legs on the bike section. Elizabeth cruised through at four hours 45 minutes, as befitting a triathlete (we decided to get a quality ringer!). Shuna injured her knee nine miles into the run just before the summit, but managed to pull back some time on the bike to finish in five hours 25 minutes.
So we have drawn the conclusion that Gregor must have held us back in 2008, as even Shuna's time was still 20 minutes faster than the team's performance last year! haha.
thanks again to Marg MacLennan for supplying sweets, bananas and peanuts at the transition. Never have I got so excited about some KP....
We are still a bit short of our target, so please do feel free to sponsor us....
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Speyside Handicapped Holidays Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
