Story

Back in May 2010 I offered to do a sponsored skydive for Ups and Downs South  West a downs syndrom support group that looks after families who have downs syndrome children in the whole South West region of England.

After paying the money for the jump I read the small print and dicovered that I would have to be under 15 stone (95kg) to do this and wih trepidation jumped on the scale in the bathroom only to discover I was 18 stone (115 kg).

Small, tiny, skinny etc. are words which I was clearly not using to describe myself but would have to get familiar with if I was to raise money this way - so I committed to a diet and exercise plan and set up a blog (resizeme.co.uk)

The good news is the charity now are registered on justgiving so I can hopefully get some overseas fundraising help! The other good news with 19 days to go is only 4 pounds (2kg) separate me from my boarding pass to fall from 13,000 feet with just a harness attaching me to an army parachute expert :-)

Please give generaously. I have got around £1,000 promised and donated so far and am keen to make a real difference and hit my massive target of £2,000!
