Leeds Half Marathon 2007 · 13 May 2007 ·

Retrak enables street children to have a real alternative to life on the street. Working in Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya and more we provide healthcare, refuge and education so street children can realise their potential and discover their worth.

Story

On 13 May 2007 Paddy, Rob, Mike Nick and Tim are running the Leeds Half Marathon in aid of RETRAK.

Please sponsor us and help street kids in Africa !

Your support will mean RETRAK will be able to help more street kids discover their potential to live productive lives.  We visited RETRAK's 'Tigers Club' Project in Uganda in 2005 and have seen at first hand the brilliant work they are doing.

In Uganda street kids are known as 'Buyaaye' - which means 'street-rats' or literally 'vermin'.  RETRAK has proved that with the right care and approach these kids can be helped to realise their potential, discover their worth and become productive members of society.   Over 500 children have found sustainable lives off the streets through RETRAK's work.

RETRAK have programmes in Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. Check out www.retrak.org for more info.

Thanks!

Paddy, Rob, Nick, Mike and Tim
