I’m running in this event to raise money to help eradicate a disease that shouldn’t be as prevalent as it.

Polio is a contagious acute viral illness which is transmitted via the faecal - oral route.  The virus can affect a person in various ways from causing no problems at all to causing total paralysis to eventual death from failure of breathing muscles.

 

Money is needed to help finance Polio vaccinations and ultimately declare Nigeria, the most prominent of the 4 countries where this virus is still running rampant, a Polio free zone as declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
