hello and thank you for reading my page

My name is Richard Griffiths and on the 7th May 2013, my son, Thomas, was diagnosed with "Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia" (ALL For Short) . Certainly a day we won't forget.

In the first 7 weeks, he has been through a hell of a lot, put up with more than any child could bear yet still keeps that cheeky, warm smile on his face. 

His Treatment takes place on the Oncolgy Ward at Birmingham Childrens Hospital. This ward treats children with cancer ranging from New Born to 18. They need vital funding. Not only just to treat and care for the children, but to provide a new state-of-the art facility which provide a more pleasent stay for the children and provide up to date equipment and tech for the staff.

I want to do my bit , as the care that they have given Thomas has been second to none. i asked myself "what could i do & what am i good at?" and then i thought, "i can torture myself on the golf course!"

Thomas is a Junior Member of Harborne Golf Club has his Grandparents, Rosa & Geoff Hancock , are also Members of the club .

100 Holes of Golf equates to 5 and a half rounds of golf and this will be completed in a day. i completed 4 round in a day in 2010 but this is a whole new level. My last offical handicap in 2010 was 3 and can still knock it around there and i will be calling on all my game (and supply of golf balls!) to get round. I will be walking all the way and will be on the lookout for caddies for the rounds, so get in touch if you fancy a walk.

So please people, Dig Deep, it is for the most worthy cause you can think of. The target i set is quite high and anything near this would be great and over it would be fantastic!
