We help improve Cardiac Care to support people with heart conditions

Story

Thank you for visiting the fundraising page in memory of baby Rhys David Moran.

Rhys was born on 15th January 2009 but sadly passed away on 31st January.  He had hypoplastic left heart syndrome.  This condition can be identified during the anomaly scan which is done at approximately 20+ weeks in to a pregnancy.  It was not identified during Rhys' scan.

The challenge for local hospitals is having sonographers that are specifically trained to identify heart problems in unborn babies.  Nadia and David want to help to provide additional training for sonographers in the South of England.  Headed by Doctor Tony Salmon (who looked after Rhys), the Wessex Heartbeat charity can help to provide such additional training.  Your donation could help to avoid another family's devastating loss and grief.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wessex Cardiac Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
