Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge · 15 June 2013 ·

Every 5 minutes, someone dies from heart diseases in the UK. We need to tackle this problem head on, and we need to start today. Your donations will fund lifesaving medical research to find new treatments and cures. We need your help, until there are no more deaths from heart diseases.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I, like many others, have often said either at work, home or more often than not in the pub that I would love to do something challenging and worthwhile. I have never summoned up the courage to do it for one reason or another but when Simon Frost said he would do it with me I thought, why not? So I am.

I chose the Three Peaks Challenge as both walking and Yorkshire has become increasingly important to me. I've been here eight years now and believe we have some of the most stunning landscape in the UK. Heart Research UK have their head office in Yorkshire so what could be more perfect? The challenge is to climb the three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire in under twelve hours.

I chose to walk for Heart Research UK firstly because my wife is a nurse and secondly I continue to be astounded by the things that we can acheive through valuable scientific research that charities like Heart Research UK make possible. In this time of cuts and NHS bashing it is imperative that we let the people who constantly save lives have our support.

It would be great if you could donate, it's a long, long way.
