We provide specialist care & vital support to local children and their families

Story

Fiona Devine and her husband John set up the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service after the death of their eight-year-old son Alexander from a brain tumour in 2006 and has raised £1.2m towards building Berkshire’s first children’s hospice.
Mrs Devine, 42, had never ran before she started her training in January and so I have decided to show my support by running too!
Fiona is a real inspiration and I have followed her progress closely as her charity works to build Berkshire’s children’s hospice and when I heard she was undertaking this personal challenge, I wanted to offer my support.
Runners can sign up for the race by visiting www.runwindsor.com and once they are entered email juliap@alexanderdevine.org to be registered as part of the 2012 Parky’s Pride team.

About the charity
