As you are probably aware, I am putting myself through some rigorous training to ride on behalf of Sports Relief and The Dallaglio Foundation from Rosslare in Southern Ireland to Edinburgh. The course is mainly uphill, into the wind and I will be riding next to overly fit individuals - so it will be a trial!

It is however, a trial worth doing with the aim of raising money for hugely worthwhile charities. The major beneficiary is Cancer Research UK which is a charity close to my heart. I have been humbled at the mental strength of my loved family members who have shown such dignity and bravery at the hands of this terrifying and indiscriminate disease. Most of the time I feel helpless and ignorant as to how to help but what I can simply do is to continually help in raising funds in this type of event to aid the fight to find that cure and that's my aim here. The money you have helped me raise will go straight to the charity and hopefully help in the drive of eventually finding a way forward.
