Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On May 20th I'll be taking part in the BUPA Great Manchester 10km run (6.21 miles).
For those of you who didn't know, my Dad contracted acute myeloid leukaemia in the early 90s, which is a rare form of the disease. Fortunately he was treated at Christie's in Manchester, and if it hadn't been for them then he probably wouldn't have survived.
Not only did they help and treat him, but they also offered support and friendship to my Mum who also had to bring up two young children at the time.
As well as them helping my family, they have also treated and continue to treat very close friends of the family, Jo and Helen.
So, I'm hoping to do the run in about 45 minutes, (somehow), and raise as much money as possible for Christie's, and if you could help by donating some money it would be greatly appreciated by the charity and by me.
Many thanks
Rich
P.S. My loving work mates call me Shadrach because apparently I look like a gypo. There was only one famous Shadrack that we could think of and that was Shadrack Dingle from Emmerdale, which explains the photo.
