Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Thanks to all the kind donations I reached my original target of £500 so I have set a new one, and with an offline donatation from West Yorkshire Trail Riders Fellowship of £500 to add, my new target has been beaten already
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
As some of you may know on the 27th October 2006 (the day after my 40 something birthday) I fell off my motor bike whilst trail riding in the Yorkshire Dales breaking my left leg quite badly. Unfortunately I was miles from anywhere, but fortunately the Yorkshire Air Ambulance was on hand to airlift me to hospital.
The guys and girls do a fantastic job and have a special place in the hearts of all motorcyclists, in addition they rescue walkers, mountain bikers, horse riders and motorists as well as many others (including Top Gear's Richard Hammond). I shall forever be indebted to the paramedics who helped me in my hour of need on that day.
After 5 long months in plaster and a further year building up the muscles in my leg I am now fully recovered and decided to ride my motorbike along with 12 mates from West Yorks TRF on 5 & 6th July 2008 in the Ryedale Rally - have a look here http://www.enduro-neec.org.uk/index.php to see how I got on.
Even though I have completed my event its not too late to sponsor me.
Many thanks for your support.
