Story
I am attempting to climb the highest peak inAfrica– Kilimanjaro on 23rd October 2008
5,895 meters (19,340 ft) !!!
The volcanic peak, with its snow-capped summit, is one of the world’s renowned ‘Seven Summits’. The extreme altitude, rapid ascent and rough terrain, make this a daunting proposition, but I am going to give it my best shot!
I wish to use this opportunity to raise money for the very worthy ‘Friendship Clinic Charity’. This charity has raised enough money to build a medical clinic for the villagers in Meghauli in , whose nearest centre was 23kms away by foot. The Charity continues to support and maintain the clinic and is involved in other projects such as clean water projects and creating a kindergarden. See www.clinic-nepal.org.uk for details.
So, if you can spare a small amount to sponsor me for this worthy cause, it would be gratefully appreciated!
Thanks very much, Richard
