My good friend Lawrence was planning to do Lands End to John O Groats by bike last year for his charity, the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumor Trust. It was my plan to ride with him for a a few days to help him along, sadly Loz died before he got to do his ride, so I decided I wanted to do it for him, this year.
So I am setting off from Lands End on 21st June, doing about 70 miles a day and hoping to get to John O Groats in two weeks, I'm going the scenic route so it'll be about 1000 miles (1600km). I'll be doing the first bit to Wales on my own and unsupported, from there I am going to be joined by Sue and the kiddies in a camper to help me along.
