On Saturday 12th July, 2008 I shall be running the Laugavegur Ultramarathon in Iceland. All be it a baby ultra marathon of 35 miles, it still promises to be a very tough challenge through the Icelandic mountains and rivers (see youtube for a video taste of what it's like.....).

The challenge I will undertake is nothing compared to the challenge the impoverished children around the world I am running for face every day - the challenge to lead a normal happy childhood in areas affected by war, poverty and other desparate circumstances.
