Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As you may know, I have decided to temporarily suspend my sedentry lifestyle and take part in this years Flora London Marathon (the first time I have run seriously), where on the 26th April i will be running for 26 miles & 385 yards. Those of you who know me will appreciate that under normal circumstances I would only consider running if late for work - so perhaps I am a glutton for punishment. However no pain no gain, and gaining for charity is what I plan to do!
I am running in aid of The National Osteoporosis Society (NOS). Osteoporosis is a common disease that makes bones fragile and more likely to break. It can cause severe disability and affects one in every two women and one in every five men over the age of 50 in the UK. The most common fractures are of the spine, hips and forearms. As the only charity dedicated to improving the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, the NOS offers a wide range of services to those affected.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the National Osteoporosis Society receives your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, is added to your donation.
Any donation you can make in order to help me reach my goal would be greatly appreciated!
Thank-you in advance, and I’ll meet you on the finish line!
