Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On the 6th of November 2009 I will be trekking to Everest Base Camp. My aim is to raise as much money as possible for Children's Hospice South West
All the children who use the Hospice have Life Limiting, or Life Threatening Conditions, which means that they are not expected to live into adulthood. Some families may use the hospice for many years, from the time the child is first diagnosed, they may come for planned respite, or for emergency care, depending on their needs and the support that the family request.
The trek will be very tough. We will be trekking at altitude for many days. At times we will reach an altitude of over 5600 metres (18370 ft). The UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis is 1344 metres (4409 ft). Night time temperatures will drop well below zero, and as this is a camping trip, the only toilet likely to be seen will be a hole dug in the ground!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children's Hospice South West gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
