My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

To mark my retirement and this transition in life I have decided to make this journey and fundraise for a very worthy local cause.

On 14 April I will begin walking the "Via Francigena" route which is about 1200 miles long.  It starts in Canterbury and goes through eastern France, Switzerland and western Italy.  I anticipate it will take me about 3 months to complete.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cobalt Appeal Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Newsflash - I walked into St Paul's Square on 11th September and received the official Vatican stamp on my pilgrim passport.

Thank  you very much for your sponsorship.
