Hello and welcome to my fundraising page for the London marathon on 13 April 2008. I've decided to raise some money thie year, and have chosen to support the Neurofibromatosis Association (the NfA). Neurofibromatosis is one of our most common genetic disorders, affecting 1 in every 2,500 people worldwide including 25,000 in this country alone. It can affect any family, with no previous history of neurofibromatosis, through new gene mutation. As yet there is no cure. The majority of sufferers live normal lives but it can be very debilitating. For further information check out www.nfauk.org. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NfA will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. As an added challenge for this year I've sprained three of the ligaments in my ankle and until this week (4 weeks to go) couldn't run. So probably not a PB this year but I reckon I'll make it round. So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. Richard
