We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

On Saturday 8th June 2013, I will be setting off on a 100km moonlit bike ride through the streets of London to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

In 2009, my granddaughter, Lily, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which is caused by a problem with the immune system.  This condition brings many daily challenges and also has many long-term health implications.  JDRF is dedicated to raising awareness of this condition and to funding the research into finding a cure.
