Bowel cancer certainly isn't the most glamorous charity I could have chosen, but let me tell you why I am collecting money for Bowel Cancer UK, and why I would like you to donate.
Over 10 years ago, my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. After treatment and surgery, she has made a full recovery and is still healthy today. Her mother also had bowel cancer, and died of it before I was born.
