Sunday April 13th. For some just another lazy Sunday, for about 40,000 people (including me!) in London the chance to take over the streets of the capital and run 26.2 miles in the Flora London Marathon. This will be my third London Marathon and this year I'm running for Interact Worldwide. Interact Worldwide work to improve the sexual and reproductive heath and rights of people across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Their projects include maternal health care, family planning and HIV/AIDS services. The short video (see left hand column below or follow this link) and accompanying article features some of Interact Worldwide's work in Uganda including a memory book project. "Memory Books" are collections of photos of parents who are victims of the HIV virus. Taken whilst they are still alive, they provide children with something to remember their parents by after they've passed away. I'm sure you'll agree that such work deserves our support. I've pledged to raise a minimum of £1500 for Interact Worldwide and with your help and generosity I'm sure I can beat that target! To start things off I'm donating £300 so please pull out your credit cards and be as generous as you can... Don't forget that UK taxpayers should tick the gift aid box to add 28% in tax to your donation. I hope to see some of you on the streets of London on the 13th April. Many thanks in advance for your support! Cheers, Richard
