Deloitte Ride Across Britain 2011 · 19 June 2011 ·

The British Paralympic Association is a registered charity and is responsible for selecting, entering and creating a world class environment for the ParalympicsGB team during the Summer and Winter Games. Your support enables us to give athletes the best possible preparation for the Games.

Story

So running 2 Marathons and the 80 Caledonian Etape was not enough exercise for me this year so I have volunteered to be part of the Cisco Team taking part in this years Deloitte Ride Across Britain, 950 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End in 9 Days. There are three mad people that are going to attempt to cycle the whole thing and yes you have guessed it I am one of them, it will definatley be a challenge to ride 100+ miles every day for 9 days, but I am definatley up for the challenge and I am trying to raise money for the British Paralympics Association for the 2012 Games.

ParalympicsGB is responsible for ensuring Britain's top disabled athletes are best prepared to compete at the Paralympic Games. With London 2012 approaching they have one opportunity to inspire more people with a disability to get in to sport and change public perception of people with a disability.

Hopefully with your help and support you can give me a good reason to keep going all the way to Lands End .... Everything you donate will go to the charity, not to funding spare inner tubes or medical attention for me.  Remember if you are a UK taxpayer Paralympics GB gets 28% more - so please give what you can.

Feel free to forward this on to anyone you think would be interested in supporting this great cause.

Many Thanks
Richard
