The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is the largest independent humanitarian organisation in the world, with more than 100 million volunteers across the globe. The British Red Cross has over 5,000 volunteers working in communities throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland. The British Red Cross responds to emergencies in the UK such as floods and train crashes; trains people in first aid skills; helps vulnerable people to get over a personal crisis such as a spell in hospital; restores the family links of people separated by war and disaster; responds rapidly to disasters and conflicts around the world.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

From 10 - 17 April, I will be running from Paris to London - that's 8 marathons in 8 days (one more than Sir Ranulph Fiennes and he's got a Knighthood!)

I'm running to raise money for the British Red Cross Disaster Fund. This Fund lets the Red Cross respond immediately to emergencies.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Red Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Thanks for your support cheers, Richard
