BUPA Run Series · 12 November 2007

CAFT helps children aged 17 and under who through no fault of their own miss out on the normalities of childhood. A free day visit, residential stay or themed visit, provides these children with a much needed opportunity to have fun & laughter and to simply enjoy being children.

Story

Hello everyone, and thanks for visiting my fundraising page

In a moment of both weakness and stupidity I set myself the challenge of doing all of the BUPA Great Runs in 2008. There are potentially 9 races to do assuming that the races aren't organised for the same days. I have highlighted the runs below that I have registered for so far.

1. Winter Run (5km) - Edinburgh - 12th January - 21:58, 139th / 2,300

2. Ireland Run (10km) - Dublin - 6th April - 43:13, 294th / 7,500

3. Capital Run (10km) - London - 20th July

Unfortunately I'm going to a wedding on this weekend. However, we have created a new run around Salford Quays. Free to enter for anyone who wants to get involved

3. Commercial Finance Run (10 km) - Salford Quays - 16th April - 43:38, Equal 1st / 8

4. Edinburgh Run (10km) - 4th May - 45:03, 421st / 10,000

5. Manchester Run (10km) - 18th May - 45:06, 1560th / 31,000

6. Wales Run (10 km) - Cardiff - 27th July - 47:32, 505th / 4,000

7. Yorkshire Run (10 km) - Sheffield - 7th September - 44:38, 341st / 6,000

8. North Run (13.2 miles/21 km) - Newcastle - 5th October - 1:45:43, 4,718th / 50,000

9. South Run (10 miles/16 km) - Portsmouth - 26th October - 1:13:52, 788th / 19,500

I'm doing the runs for The Children's Adventure Farm Trust, which is a charity based in Millington in Cheshire which provides holidays and activities for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the Northwest. They rely completely on donations alone and receive no other funding.

So I'll be getting my trainers on again, pounding the treadmill, visiting four different countries and doing over 100kms of races! Any donations would be greatly received as I'm trying to raise £1,000!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: The Children's Adventure Farm Trust will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support
