St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,000 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

Story

Thank you very much for visiting my fundraising page.

On Thursday 10th September I begin my cycle ride in John o' Groats, cycling down the entire length of Great Britain, before finishing in Land's End on Friday 18th September. That works out at just over 100 miles per day, not including orientation time (i.e. getting lost).

I'm undertaking this challenge to raise funds for St Richard's Hospice. St Richard's is a charity very close to my heart, working in my home county of Worcestershire to provide palliative care and support to people suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Earlier this year a close family friend was admitted to their care, and I know she found the hospice to be an invaluable resource in guiding her and her family through a very uncertain period.

Any funds raised will be directed towards providing a similar level of care for others who are unfortunate enough to find themselves in a similar situation.

Thank you for your support.
