Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

First of all I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to my justgiving page. This whole venture has been a humbling experience due to the generosity of everyone involved, including my family, friends and supporters.

10 friends and I crossed the English channel to France on Fri 24 Aug. The cycle ride itself commenced on 25th Aug from the Belgium border. .Everything fell into place including hotels, ferries and most importantly the support vehicle which was always [well mostly] where it was supposed to be. Thanks to the support crews for that. However on the 13 Sept I was unfortunately involved in quite a serious crash on my bike. I sustained injuries which included fractures to 2 vertebrae in my neck and lacerations to the inside of my mouth which required an operation and stitches. I was in hospital in France for 6 days and am still recovering since my repatriation back to the UK. In total I completed 17 of the 19 stages and covered nearly 1200 miles. Although I didn’t complete the whole route I still feel this challenge was an overwhelming success. All that’s left to do is to try and hit that £10,000 target.

So please dig deep and donate now.
