In December 2005 I was diagnosed with total Kidney failure. This was due to high blood pressure which had been caused by 27 years of Diabetes.

I was placed on the transplant waiting list in 2006 for a Simultaneous Kidney and Pancreas Transplant.

Due to the selfless act of a young person placing themself on the Organ Donor Register, I received a wonderful GIFT in 2007.

My life has been transformed by this and my whole family have been able to witness this wonderful chance I have been given.

I have decided to enter the London to Paris Charity Cycle Ride to raise funds for LIVE LIFE THEN GIVE LIFE. Their aim is to increase awareness of Organ Donation and therefore help give many others the opportunity I have received.
