Story

Hello Everybody,

My name is Richard Witty and I am challenging myself to run the London Marathon 2017 for a fantastic charity called OVARIAN CANCER ACTION.

My reasons for running the London Marathon is in memory of my Auntie Jo Bennett who sadly passed due to Ovarian Cancer in July 2014. We were lucky enough as a family to have been invited to the charities research centre and the work/hours the doctors and scientists put in to help us find answers in incredible therefore all the money raised will be put towards the research and hopefully to help contribute to finding a cure for this horrible disease that not only took a loved one from our family but thousands of women around the world who need out help!

Last year we raised £5200 for the charity but we want to beat last years target if possible!!

I would like to thank everyone for your support visiting my page and any donations towards the charity is greatly appreciated.

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
