Breakwater to Plymouth Hoe Swim · 18 August 2013

The Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health fundraises for nurses, equipment and treatment, as well as providing awareness campaigns on prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men, right across Devon and Cornwall. We also raise awareness of testicular cancer and penile cancer in our communities.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started open water swimming last year and it terrified me. This year I have gradually been overcoming that fear and will complete the Plymouth Breakwater to Hoe swim in August in aid of the Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer. The swimmers get dropped off by boat near the Breakwater and have to swim the 4km back to shore in open and choppy water. It will be a significant challenge and an amazing spectacle.
