After last year’s success raising 3.7k for McMillan and cancer research I have decided to keep it going and raise more funds for cancer charities.
I have chosen Penny Brohn as my charity this time for personal reasons and to raise their profile as many people are not aware of what they can do to help.
As most of you know in March 2009 I was diagnosed with a life threatening tumour that was dangerously close to my brain. The only path for me to take was to undergo major surgery followed by a course of radiotherapy. Although it is hoped the treatments have been successful they inturn have left their scars physically and emotionally. Penny Brohn have been fantastic offering me all sorts of supportive treatments, such as self healing techniques and massage to damaged and scared tissue.
I plan to raise over 3.5K with my sponsored trip to Macho Picchu in Oct 11, your support is very much appreciated.
