Please help us! Our  wooden bellframe in St Mary's Richmond N Yorks  is unstable making it difficult to ring the bells and putting at risk our medieval church tower. If church bells are to continue to be heard in Richmond we must raise £160,000 to replace the 2-tier wooden frame with a single tier iron frame and new bells.  We have raised over £100,000 but still have a way to go. To raise funds  8 of us are cycling from Richmond Surrey, through London, Cambridge, Stamford, Lincoln, over the Humber Bridge to York and on to Richmond N Yorks. Two of us will be on a tandem. We will be ringing at churches, abbeys and cathedrals along the way.  It's 350 miles. Please sponsor us! Make our pain worthwhile.
