We are celebrating the 21st anniversary of the River Thames Boat Project this year.  Since the Boat Project started thousands of children, young people and disabled people from schools, support groups, day centres and care homes have enjoyed the cruises and educational activities we provide. They've learned new skills, gained in confidence, made new friends and discovered the joys of the River Thames and life afloat aboard the Richmond Venturer.

A young carer from Lewisham said of her half term holiday on the Richmond Venturer in May "I never knew you could have so much fun without a TV!"

And man with Parkinson's Disease recently emailed: "Don't ever underestimate the value of the work you do. For some clients the organised outings [on the Richmond Venturer] are the most eagerly anticipated highlights of their lives."

Our youngest client was a baby of 5 months and the oldest a woman of 103. Many groups come back year after year.

Our work is achieved through the dedication of our small staff team and a group of 65 fantastic volunteers.
