The four of
us have all lost family or friends to cancer and had close friends to
have losses aswell. This is why on August the 6th we will be setting down our rowing oars and picking up a paddle to embark on the challenge to kayak the non tidal section of the Thames NON STOP to raise money for
Cancer Research. We will start in Cricklade (Wiltshire) and end at
Teddington lock (London), a total of 135.5 miles!
Pete and Anthony will be doing the challenge in
memory of Mr. Bell. Ricky will be doing the challenge in honour of his Grandad Ron Cowley.
Cancer is one of the biggest causes of death on the planet, it caused about 13% of all human deaths in 2007, 7.6 million people! If you ask anybody if they know someone who has had cancer the anwser is always yes! Directly or in directly we are all effected by cancer so please sposor and help this amazing cause!
