This is us completeing the John O'Groats to Lands End challenge, we left John O'Groats at 12 midday Saturday and rode through the night (with comfort stops) arriving at the destination just after 10am on Sunday 19th October. Thank you for donating to this cause, if you haven't its not too late. I am raising this money for the research fund of RP Fighting Blindness, which sponsors scientists to find a cure or treatment for this eye condition which causes blindness through defective genes.
The reason for choosing this charity is that my mate Colin McArthur has gone blind through this disease, and he is doing as much as he can to restore not only his sight but the sight of everyone affected by retinitis pigmentosa. Its my pleasure to help him in his quest because at the moment he finds it hard to get to the bar when its his round!!!
