At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

On 27th June 2008 I will be momentarily leaving my idle, lazy 9-5 desk bound existence and attempting, over 3 days, to ride the 300km from London to the Eiffel Tower, Paris.

The reason for this act of sheer madness is simple.  Last February one of my daughters friends, Taegen,  was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma (a type of Leukaemia)  a few days after her 5th birthday.   The bravery and courage of a 5 year old girl has been outstanding and her mum and dad should be very proud.  I am pleased to say that Taegen has finished her chemotherapy treatment and is now in remission.  During the last year CLIC Sargent have provided essential support to her and her family and this is a chance for myself, Chris (Taegen's dad) and Dave (Julie's Cousin) to raise some money to ensure they are able to continue to help other children and their families in the future.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CLIC Sargent will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Leon

P.S. If you work for or know of a company that would be interested in some sort of corporate sponsorship let me know.
