Story

Emma Broyd’s husband Paul is cycling 250 miles from London to Paris over 2 days, to gain sponsorship for the relocation and renovation of the Ridgeway Birth Centre, Enfield, Middlesex as it prepares to go standalone when Chase Farm Hospital closes in 2011.  This is no easy feat, as he will be battling all sorts of terrain and everyone that kindly sponsors him will be giving him an added incentive to reach the finishing line! The bike ride is due to take place from 20th-22nd May 2010. Sponsorship from this event will go towards furnishing and completing the interior of the new birth centre as this is something we have to raise funding for. The philosophy and aim of the birth centre is not only to ensure the safe arrival of the newborn baby for women and their families, but to have a rewarding, enriching birth experience in an environment that feels like home. Thank you for donating towards a very worthy cause!
