My story

The marathon has been completed. For report write up see here

What was this page all about? See below:

Decided to run one last marathon and thought this last one should be for a charity.....with a pet tyre or tyres of course. LOOK  has provided me with that opportunity. A well worthy charity that supports carers of visually impaired disabled children.

Anyway, for your entertainment, there are tier bands for the amount I raise and what I drag on the day. Further to that, you get to decide how I dress on the day (see below for options)

The tier bands for what I will drag depends on the funds I raise:
Below £1,250 - will be dragging a bicycle tyre
Between £1,250 and £3,499 - will drag a car tyre
 Above £3,500 - £9,999 - will drag 2 car tyres
Over £10,000 - a tractor tyre (if I get this amount DON'T tell my mother)

Once you have donated an amount (£2 is fine), a comment box will appear. In your comments vote for what you would like to see me wearing:

A. During the marathon, that is enter one of the numbers below (for example enter A1 for whatever I want to wear):

1. What ever I want to wear
2. A dress
3. A police woman's outfit

B. For the photo finish

1. What ever I am wearing for the marathon
2. A designer dress
3. What I would wear if I were going to the South Pole

NB: If you enter nothing, I will assume you are giving me the choice

Weekly consolidated updates will be done at gfiexpeditions

Whilst dragging me tyres passing people, women normally give me sympathetic looks:

- you poor thing! .................me: I must look really bad!
- that looks tiring.................me: Hope not, I've got 8 more miles to go
- that looks like torture.......me: Yes, I am a masochist

Men on the otherhand like to try the quick wit:

- have you lost your car? ............me: Yes economic downturn
- can I have a ride?......................me: Sure hop on
- you must be mad?....................me: Yes a jibbering wreck. Isn't that great?
- excuse me did you know there's something on your back?........me: yeah and did you know there's something on your head (4 boys cycling past me)
