On July 12th I'll be walking the length of the River Axe, along with Jon Sibley and Adam Smith, from Beaminster Down to Seaton - just over 26 miles in all.   We're raising money to support SIFT's fantastic medical work in Nicaragua.  Every week Dr Sandra and her team of nurses bring everyday healthcare to rural communities on the volcanic island of Ometepe, in Lake Nicaragua.  It's the kind of health service that we take for granted here in the UK, and that really makes a difference to the lives of the poor.  You can have a look at the photos over on the left to see Dr Sandra and her team in action.   We're hoping to raise at least £1,000 through the River Axe Challenge, which will fund SIFT's medical work for just over a fortnight and provide free medicines for those who come to our clinics.   Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
