Personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for all the support that has been given to me during my 'Full of Beans' fundraiser for the RNLI.

Following the death of my 17 year old son, Lee, in a boating accident off the Gower in 2004, I decided to organise ‘Light of Lee Wood Week’ from 15-22 July 2006 to fundraise for the RNLI. My brother in law David Devey and I got sponsored to spend the week camping and fishing on the small island which is home to Mumbles lighthouse, a place Lee and I used to fish from together.

Light of Lee Wood Week 2006 raised £2803.85, which was split between the Horton, Tenby and Burry port lifeboat stations, as they helped search for Lee following the accident.

This year, Lee would have been 21 on 7th June, so I decided to do some  more fundraising for the RNLI.

To commemorate his birthday I sat in a bath tub full of baked beans at Oystermouth Square, Mumbles on 9th & 10th  June from 10am to 10pm on both days.

Local 'superhero' Captain Beany came down to pour beans over my head, the Mumbles lifeboat crew came along to support me and loads of people made donations as they walked past me in the bath of beans.

Everyone was so generous, and we raised around £1773 just from bucket collections during the weekend. All the money raised will go to Mumbles lifeboat station.

It's not too late to sponsor me though and try to double my fundraising target...!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
