Yes, we're old enough to know better, but we've got time on our hands and - after decades chained to the BBC Newsdesk - we fancied a change.  So we've bought a van and will (hopefully) drive it almost halfway across the planet (much of it off-road) to Mongolia.  We're covering all our own costs: the van, 10,000 miles worth of fuel, and probably a few backhanders to get ourselves out of some sticky situations.  If we make it to Mongolia, we'll give the car away to be auctioned for charity.  With your help, we'll also raise some money for a good cause - Save the Children - before we even set off
