Following my mother passing away of cancer in early 2002, I was inspired to undertake a charity parachute jump for Marie Curie Cancer Care in October 2003 after experiencing the wonderful work that they do caring for patients and supporting family and friends.
My latest idea to raise funds for Marie Curie is to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats. I must admit I am no serious cyclist, I guess I just like a challenge. I plan on starting from Lands End on Sunday 12th June 2005 and it will probably take me between 2 and 3 weeks to complete, depending on the weather! Although I am not a serious cyclist I am taking this ride seriously and have been training since the start of the year.
