TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS = 2 STONE 9 POUNDS
I started this page in Nov 2006 when my lovely Mum, Hilary Fairholme, was undergoing surgery and chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer, 3 years after battling bowel cancer. At that point she was doing really well and was still working as a dedicated teacher at Fernwood Infant School. My last entries to this page were in June 2007, shortly after which I found out I was pregnant with my first child. Over that summer it was found that the cancer had spread to my Mum's liver. My brave and inspirational Mum lost her battle with this unforgiving disease in September 2007. Understandably my weight (and this page) became the last thing on my mind as I dealt with losing my Mum and giving birth to my first baby. Two years and two babies later I feel that now is the time to get back on track with my weight loss. When I originally started this page I was very embarrassed to reveal that I weighed 14 stone 7. Well when I re-joined weight watchers in Nov 09 I am afraid to say I was a shocking 15 stone 9.5!! I have since lost 26 pounds and was thinking about ways to keep myself motivated as I still have a long way to go. I remembered this page and was pleased to find you can just re-activate it. I want to say a big thank you to all those that donated previously. I hope that my further weight loss justifies your original donations. I am not expecting all those people to contribute again but I will add my own contribution when I get to goal (which will keep me on track) and maybe when I do reach goal people will add another donation as a congratulatory gift? The photo's on here at the moment are from my original weight loss. I have a few photo's of me at my heaviest this time so will add a few new pictures as I lose the weight. My weekly weigh in is on a saturday so I will aim to update regularly. At this point my weight is 13 stone 11.5 so still over 4 stone to go to get to goal. If you can contribute then Pancreatic Cancer UK is a reallly worthy cause. You can check out their work and find more information on pancreatic cancer on their website (see link).
But I am doing this for my Mum, hope I can make you proud xxx
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Pancreatic Cancer UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
