10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen and see. Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and a cure and provide support until they are found.

Story

The Big Bad Bike Ride is a charity bike ride organised by Graham Kennedy, started in 1991, riding from York to Filey to raise money for Ataxia UK. This year's ride is a 100km circuit throughout the Yorkshire Wolds, involving over 500 other riders, and aiming to raise £1m for Ataxia UK.

We at Castlegate IT have worked with Graham for years, on the Big Bad Bike Ride website, and his other endeavours. Although not all of us are bike-savvy, a good amount of us get on the saddle and join Graham on this charity bike ride every year, and this year will be no different.

If you're interested in helping out, feel free to sponsor any of the riders, spread the word, or join the ride yourself!
