Story
An Idiot Abroad 2013 !
Yes me, Rob Salt the fitness fanatic (??!!) will be climbing the Salkantay Trail up to Machu Picchu in Peru, in September this year in aid of the Rowan’s Hospice.
The Rowans Hospice is a local charity in Portsmouth dedicated to improving the lives of people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. After recently losing a good friend, and in the past both my Nan and Aunt to cancer, I know that without the Rowan’s care, things would have been both more painful and less dignified for these people and countless others.
Please help me help this fantastic cause that needs more than £4 million a year just to exist and I’ll leave my comfort zone and the family at home and swap it for llamas, altitude sickness, freezing nights and a trek up to 14,000 feet through mountains and jungle!
Please donate generously and wish me luck J
