Story
THE NEXT GENERATION OF CYCLISTS IS BORN!!
For the past 13 years, I (Rob) have stretched my limbs and ambitions for the benefit of Norwood and the residents of Ravenswood. With your help, which I profoundly appreciate, I have raised in the region of some £50,000.
A few years ago, Jeff Fine, one of my good friends and a fellow cyclist, was thrilled when his son James, who has benefited from Norwood's support for many years, was able to ride tandem with him on our Morocco ride. Imagine Jeff's joy when, a year later, James rode solo, completing 30 miles on the Hampton to Hove ride, aged 21.
I am equally delighted that my daughter Debbie will be riding with me on a very difficult ride in Brazil - she accepted the challenge of the Ride with alacrity. When I asked Debbie if she would like to join me on the ride, her answer was: "I've been wanting to do this ride with you for years".
The challenge is there; we both have to achieve a level of fitness we normally can only imagine. We value your encouragement. And, of course, since there are two of us this year, Norwood will value as much as you are able to give. Could you consider asking some of the younger members of your family if they would like to join us? If they cannot, perhaps they could add to the sponsorship? Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Norwood will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor us now! We'll be thinking of you as we struggle up those hills. Many thanks for your support. All good wishes, Rob & Debbie (Nathan)
