My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Hi everyone,

I’m pleased to say that for me, the hard work is done… three marathons in one month. This means that for you, it’s time to part with some cash!

The first marathon was of course London. Without doubt the easiest of the three largely due to the flat course, the perfect conditions and incredible support from an enthusiastic crowd. I finished in 3hrs 37mins. I then ran the Bracknell Half Marathon in 1hr 36mins although this was just training and not part of the official challenge. Next was the Neolithic Marathon from Avebury in Wiltshire toStonehenge across Salisbury Plain. This is a hilly and exposed course but the conditions weren’t too bad and I was very pleased with my finish time of 3hrs 38mins. Lastly, a run I expected to finish comfortably … the Halstead and Essex Marathon. The high temperature was the main problem but perhaps I hadn’t fully recovered from the previous weekend. Either way, despite starting well and feeling great, by 18 miles, I was really struggling and limped over the line in 4hrs 02mins…. Job done!

So thanks again for your sponsorship pledges. For those of you who have not yet pledged any money, there's still a few days left. You can either donate using this site or you can make your cheque out to ‘Spinal Injuries Association’ and send it to me at my home address (visit www.w2n.co.uk for contact details)

Cheers,

Rob / Bee
