Gaming Marathon

Four of us: David; Robert; Gordon; and Bob, are working together to raise money for the Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital by playing games solidly for 24 hours. Straight. Now, those of you who know us are probably thinking that we just made this up because this is how we spend our weekends anyway, but some geniuses came up with this for us! Besides, the real challenge is to do it without any sleep.

So, the plan is to start playing games at 8am on Saturday 8th October, and finish 8am Sunday 9th October. To make it more interesting, we also have personal forfeits so we give some money ourselves, and are not just asking you to fork out the cash whilst we live the dream (literally, probably, at some points).

I know times are tough, but if you can donate just 50p, you can help make a big difference (the total raised last year from everyone involved was just over £7,000). If you would like to donate, please note that we have two different sites. The reason for this is that I can get my donations (up to £250) matched by my company (Royal London), so sorry about the complexity, but there is a method to the madness! :)

Also, should you wish to follow us on the day, we will be on Twitter on the day (current plan is to start at 7am, tho this could change)!

Bob - I've got 100% confidence that you've got what it takes to play games for 24 hours! Donation by Jonathan Ingle on 11/10/11
